A growing company in Florence, South Carolina is now seeking a Customer Service/Operations Specialist. Under the direct supervision of the Florence Service Center Site Manager, the Customer Service Specialist is responsible for all daily transactions of the site within the enterprise system IFS. The Customer Service Specialist will maintain communication with the customer to ensure all expedite requests are acknowledged and processed, all inventory status inquiries are answered accurately and on time as requested by the customer, and will work directly with Whitesell Purchasing and Logistics departments for product expedites or returns. Additionally, they will assist the Site Manager in collecting data for and completing site activity reports.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Process to completion KANBAN and direct customer orders with documentation in IFS ERP system.
  • Manage daily KANBAN Program and bin status reports, and report results to customer.
  • Respond to email and telephone expedites requested from the customer and process appropriate IFS order transactions.
  • Generate IFS system order processing documentation and deliver to warehouse associates in a timely or scheduled manner.
  • Works with the customer and Account Management on RMA’s, invoicing issues and inventory discrepancies to effect resolution.
  • Record any reported Customer Concerns and report them immediately to the Site Manager and Account Management.
  • Process in all inventory change transactions in IFS including inventory location changes, cycle count reports and assist in receiving activities.
  • Proactively identifies current and potential IFS inventory system problems.
  • As assigned, respond to customer ‘out-of-stock’ after-hours telephone calls and assist in delivery of requisite product.
  • Assist in cycle counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Provides activity reports or develop activity report data to management as requested.
  • Perform operational duties including instructing warehouse personnel.
 
Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate Degree in business related discipline or equivalent in experience and training or a combination of education, experience and training.
  • Experience in shipping/receiving, operating forklifts and basic warehouse duties.
  • Experience in inventory control and cycle counts.
