CEO – Middle Market Mid-West Manufacturer of Industrial & Automotive components
 
A private investment firm has closed on additional acquisitions in the recent past that were initially managed through corporate resources and is now building a top notch senior leadership team to oversee the combined businesses, execute the integration and prepare the company to launch a robust organic growth and acquisition strategy. 
 
The CEO will lead the senior leadership team and combined organization and will hold ultimate responsibility for the development, growth and financial performance of the business.  The position will report directly to the Board of Directors.  Key priorities for the role will include: driving consolidation and integration of the business units, working with existing resources to deliver upon lingering performance improvement initiatives and building out the senior leadership team that will provide the necessary support to drive the long term growth and success of the organization. 
 
Ideal candidates will have held similar positions within a private equity, private investment or entrepreneurial cultured company environment who work effectively in a lean environments willing to roll up sleeves and get the job done.  This is a results oriented environment that will fit very well with a self-driven, self-motivated leader who is experienced in driving positive change and growth in a manufacturing environment.
 
The company has a very strong balance sheet with substantial financial backing that will support a robust acquisition strategy.  Prior success with acquisition identification, integration and change management in a manufacturing environment is paramount. 
 
This position is expected to operate in an independent manner and without substantial assistance from the Board of Directors & Executive Corporate Management but will initially interact more heavily with them both during the initial transitioning of responsibilities.  This will provide an ideal means to develop relationships and build confidence from the Board & Corporate Executives that will enable the efficient and effective long term more autonomous operating environment.

Key Experience/Skill Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant concentration
  • 20 years prior relevant experience with a strong focus on operational finance, acquisitions, and integrations in a manufacturing environment serving Automotive and/or Industrial industries
  • Proven experience leading a company through acquisition and organic growth and managing the cultural, staffing and operational challenges that environment brings.
  • Demonstrated past success in building and motivating a high performance leadership team
