VP of Finance– Middle Market Mid-West Manufacturer of Industrial & Automotive components
A private investment firm has closed on additional acquisitions in the recent past that were initially managed through corporate resources and is now building a top notch senior leadership team to oversee the combined businesses, execute the integration and prepare the company to launch a robust organic growth and acquisition strategy. 
The VP of Finance will be a key member of this senior leadership team and will hold responsibility for finance, accounting, HR, IT and for driving overall company performance alongside the CEO.  Key priorities for the role will include: analyzing business metrics and implementing performance improvement initiatives, consolidating certain back office functions where logical, transitioning operating units onto a single ERP, building a culture of accountability and drive for results, maintain a strong controllership discipline and deliver timely, accurate and informative reporting.  Ideal candidates will have held similar positions within a private equity, private investment or entrepreneurial cultured company environment that works effectively in a lean environment willing to roll up sleeves and get the job done.
The company has a very strong balance sheet with substantial financial backing that will support a robust acquisition strategy.  Prior success with acquisition integration and change management in a manufacturing environment is paramount.  This is not a staff job but rather for a driven self-starter type of professional who works effectively and respectfully both through and with others in a collaborative way but also can work independently with limited resources when circumstances dictate.
This position is expected to operate in an independent manner and without substantial assistance from corporate but will initially interact more heavily with corporate executives during the initial transitioning of responsibilities while developing relationships and building confidence from the corporate executives to enable the efficient and effective long term more autonomous operating environment.

Key Experience/Skill Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting/finance or relevant concentration
  • 15 years prior relevant experience with a strong focus on operational finance, acquisitions, and integrations in a manufacturing environment
  • Very strong analytical skills and ability to work with ad-hoc data in excel
