Account Manager needed for a Chicago-based distributor of high-quality industrial fasteners (ITW Shakeproof, ITW Fastex, Sherex Fastening Solutions, Heyco, Rotor Clip and Pop Brand fasteners division of Stanley Engineered Fasteners, to name a few). We are seeking an experienced sales professional who has the ability to grow sales and manage accounts. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Selling products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Maintaining quality customer service by both establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Reviewing and entering customer orders, including contract review, entry of demand in MRP/ERP system, production planning, and quoting of new inquiries.
  • Increasing sales and visibility to new and existing customers while maintaining customer relationships by introducing new products, demonstrating features and answering questions regarding product applications.
  • Role will require individual to manage internal activities however local travel will be required to call on new and existing customers.
  • Identifying business opportunities in the local fastener industry by researching and analyzing prospects and sales options
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Fastener industry experience in the local market
  • 2 to 4 year College Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and/or other business related degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven success in Account Management/Sales
